Step 03
Network
Commercial-grade equipment, tuned for a home. Fast, intuitive and uncomplicated to live with.
There is no such thing as wireless. Until electricity can be delivered through the air without side effects, everything in the house still has a cable somewhere. The trick is to put the cable where you never see it and let the wireless do only what it is good at.
Wi-Fi is like sound
A single Wi-Fi router is a single speaker turned up loud enough to reach the far bedroom: distorted for the people close to it and still faint at the back. A well-designed home is a day spa, with soft music from many small speakers, and you always hear the closest one. The difficult part is convincing a phone to let go of the far speaker and jump to the near one. A managed controller does exactly that, so every device is always on the best connection and hands over seamlessly as you walk through the house.
Why not a consumer mesh kit?
You pay for decent internet, and there is still that one corner where the film buffers and the WhatsApp call drops. Consumer mesh kits and range extenders plug holes in coverage; they were never designed for speed, for a house this size or for a family with forty connected devices. We install the same business-grade managed network hardware we use for our commercial clients, because a home has become a small business in everything except the name.
- A software controller is the brain of the network and configures every device from one screen
- It adapts automatically when a neighbour’s Wi-Fi interferes with yours
- A guest network for visitors, and fair limits for the devices that eat data
- Regular firmware updates, pushed to every device, so the system keeps evolving
- Cameras, sound, streaming, the gate and the alarm all live on the same tidy backbone
You are not investing in a once-off box. You are investing in a system that keeps improving for as long as you own the house.
Wired where it matters
Media players, recorders and every access point get a cable. Wi-Fi is for the devices that move.
Ceiling access points, powered over the cable
Power-over-ethernet means one cable per access point, no plugs, no boxes on shelves.
One controller for the whole house
A single managed system that tunes itself, updates itself and hands your phone from room to room without dropping a call.
How it connects
One cable to each device. One brain for the whole house.
The fibre comes in once. A gateway hands it to a switch that powers every access point and camera over the same cable that carries its data. A single controller sets up, tunes and updates all of it.

Every device's experience, on your phoneThe dashboards
You can see everything. You never have to touch it.
The controller shows the network on your own floor plan: which device is where, how strong its signal is, how much data the children's console is using, who is on the guest network. We watch the same screens from our side and fix most things before you notice.
- Coverage heat map on your floor plan
- A separate guest network, and limits per device
- Updates pushed to every device, by us

The other steps
Consult
The network is designed into the plan, before the first brick, so every room is ready for what it will one day need.
